Executive update on capital, liquidity, and interest rate risk

Client: Corporate Treasury Risk – Global Bank

The challenge

Amid evolving interest rate conditions and increased regulatory scrutiny, we were tasked with developing a comprehensive capital and liquidity management update for the Chief Risk Officer and a committee of Risk Managing Directors. The presentation needed to be built from the ground up, clearly aligning multiple SMEs’ inputs into one cohesive, executive-ready briefing.

The solution

1. Strategy & alignment

We applied a storyboard framework to define the presentation’s structure and flow, aligning early with the Risk Managing Director and key SMEs to shape a cohesive narrative.

2. Content development & iteration

Acting as a strategic design consultant, we led content design through weekly iteration cycles, guiding clarity, visual alignment, and message prioritization tailored to executive audiences.

3. Final refinement

In the final phase, we focused on visual consistency and formatting polish, ensuring all design elements adhered to the firm’s corporate standards and reinforced clarity across the deck.

We clarified the title, added audience-specific context, and simplified the chart to reduce cognitive load.
We streamlined the visuals and improved hierarchy, helping the audience focus on key trends and takeaways.

The deliverable

A 16-page executive deck covering:

  • Liquidity risk strategy – incl. legal entity balances and prime deposits
  • Capital risk strategy – incl. excess capital and synthetic transfers
  • Interest rate risk impact – incl. net interest income sensitivity analysis
The final (“After”) version blends initial ideas with MD feedback, refines the message for the audience, aligns with brand colors, and leads with a clear takeaway title.
